“I’m from Chamonix and I’ve really decided to stay in the Valley as it offers great possibilities when you live here, were born here, and when you see the surrounding scenery.

I was born into the world of nature and forests. For the past 27 years I’ve done seasonal work;  in the summer as a warden of the Aiguilles Rouges Nature Reserve and in the winter as part of the mountain rescue team.

What they have in common is the mountains. To fully appreciate nature, you need to share it and that’s what I do. It’s really rewarding work.

This scenery is like an open book – the more I get to know the Valley, the more I want to explore it. It’s a bit like a small plant that everybody knows, but when you look at it through binoculars, for example, you see it in a different light. It all depends on the viewpoint. It’s really important to respect biodiversity and to play an active role in preserving it.  ”

“I like to explore the area of Les Posettes, either on foot or using the lifts, as it offers a wide variety of scenery and plant life. The Aiguillette des Posettes is a lovely walk, where you can see a very specific type of vegetation, namely tundra.”
